Field of Dreams
Our annual Field of Dreams field renovation is quickly approaching and we need your help choosing the location of this event. This field renovation has traditionally been held at facilities that are overused and under funded. Ideally we would like to choose a facility that will be maintained after the renovation so the hard work by a few can be appreciated by many. If you know of a field that is vastly overused, has unsafe playing conditions, and has a limited budget; please email the story and photographs (if available) to:

Spring Field Day - Rome Braves
We recently had a great field day up in Rome, GA at the Braves facility. Special thanks to Jerry Pate Turf and Irrigation for sponsoring this event. We were able to observe the deep tine aeration and topdressing process. Host Bryant Powers was able to give us a tour of the field and insight into his turf and infield management plan. We were updated on some exciting herbicide and cultural practice research results for perennial ryegrass transition by Robin Landry (Masters Candidate - Clemson University). There was also a nice roundtable discussion about the early warm temperatures and budget constraints. And last, but certainly not least, a fine meal was served by the Braves catering staff. A great time was had by all and the educational information was paramount. Please make plans to attend our Summer Field Day.
